by BlvdHome

Air frying is the latest healthy cooking trend to fry food. It is a method of cooking that quickly circulates super-heated air throughout the oven, giving a perfectly crispy fried layer with none of the greases of deep-frying. There are several ways to air fry with the most common way being a standard countertop air fryer, but many ovens convection appliances are adding air fryers to their newer models. Hopefully, this will help you find which version is the best way to air fry.

When it comes to air frying the outcome is the same but there are different methods. One of the most popular methods of air frying is the standard countertop appliances. It is the most straightforward way to air fry and it can be the easiest to navigate. Even though most of the air fryer trays are non-stick, you can add aluminum foil to the bottom of your tray for easier cleanup. Standard countertop air fryers are smaller and don’t hold as much food in the unit, but are perfect for smaller groups and meals. Getting a countertop device is the most economic way to try air frying and it is easier to store if you don’t have as much space in your kitchen.

One of the newest additions made in new oven models is giving the option to air fry. GE’s Profile Range is one of the latest ovens to feature air frying. While running out and buying an oven may not be the most economic option, it is the most convenient way to have fewer appliances and more counter space. Another plus to having an air fryer in your oven is the obvious, more space. This is ideal for someone who plans to air fry for a larger group or wants to air fry larger items like a chicken. However, with more space in the oven, this will extend your cooking time compared to a countertop appliance. While air frying is a healthier option many who air fry will notice there isn't the same smoky flavor as deep frying. With air fryers in an oven, you can retrieve some of that smokiness by cooking the food on an air fryer rack.

While fried food being delicious isn't a new concept, air frying has helped reimagine something that wasn’t as healthy. Both standard countertop appliances and ovens with air frying features are good ways to achieve crispy goodness. It comes down to convenience, space, and what your budget is when buying an air fryer.
